About Us

McKenna Opticians is a local and independently owned opticians. They were established by Mairead McKenna in 1976.  Mairead, who retired in 2015, placed great emphasis on ensuring the needs of her patients were continually met.  

Roisin McGuinness, who worked for Mairead for 21 years, took ownership of McKenna Opticians in 2015.  This ensured continuity of care for all patients and the continuation of the ethos of ensuring the needs of the patients are always at the forefront, in terms of delivering quality eyecare.   

Roisin works with another optometrist Judith, and is assisted by a team of optical assistants Ann, Gemma and Frances.  The team have over 55 years of experience of working in this optometry practice, holding a wealth of knowledge and experience.  The team willingly provides advice and guidance on all supplementary eye tests and with the selection of frames.
